This is me. I used to be an astrophysicist, then decided I liked data and coding better than physics. After a brief stint in elementary school teaching, I was a participant at the Recurse Center, a twelve-week self-directed programming retreat in New York City. Now I work as a software engineer at Wise.io, from GE Digital, where I spend my days wrangling databases into submission. I like making ice cream, machine learning, singing, theology, and spiders (not necessarily in that order).
My cat is Athena. She likes to chase feather toys and be scratched under the chin. To my knowledge, she has never understood a word of the statistics concepts I explain to her, but I keep doing it. Perhaps some day she will catch on.
